Very odd. It was bad enough when I used a dialup BT account.

I've all but decided who to go with, and it ain't BTO. None of them will
let me order it until I've moved into the new house, because they need
to do a line check. Why they can't check it now is beyond me, the house
is occupied and the line is active.

That's normally true, but not necessarily in this case. An ISP has to
charge a tenner a month more than BTO to make even a small profit. BTO's

a) The wholesale price is artificially high, and BT are the wholesaler
too

b) With £30bn debts, what's a few quid extra :-O
